Where is the
Harlingen Church located?

Harlingen Church is located on
Route 206
at 34 Dutchtown-Harlingen Rd,
in Belle Mead,
in Montgomery Township
in central New Jersey,
between Somerville and Princeton (about 10 miles south of Somerville and 9.5 miles north of Princeton). We are located right on the southbound side of Rt. 206 at the corner of Dutchtown-Harlingen Road.
This address works in Google (as of Sept 2013): "2060 State Rd, Belle Mead, NJ" ("State Rd" is Rt 206)

Where should I park?

The church has a gravel parking lot adjacent to the building  You can turn into it from 206 or from the cross street Dutchtown-Harlingen Rd.

Where should I enter the church?

We have a lot of entrances ;) The main entrance is the front doors that face 206.  These front doors lead directly into the back of the sanctuary. This is the door we think will be easiest for you, and we'll have greeters at these doors.

For anyone who has a need, one of our doors on the South side has an ramp for accessibility.  This door leads to our library which leads to the church house (gym).  If you walk diagonally right across the church house (gym), you'll get to the door in the front of the sanctuary.

When is the Worship Service?

Worship begins at 10:00 AM.

How long is the Worship Service?

The Worship Service lasts between 1 hour and 1:15. So it ends around 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM.

Do you have a coffee and refreshment fellowship time?

Yes, immediately following the service in our church house (gym) behind the sanctuary. After the service, people either leave the sanctuary through the front doors (facing Rt 206) or more often thru the back door that leads to our fellowship hall. Our fellowship hall is also a gym or basketball court.  There, after the service, we offer coffee and refreshments and a lot of us hang out and chat.

Do you serve communion?
Yes we serve communion on the first Sunday every month, and during our Christmas Eve service.

For communion we serve bread, including a gluten-free choice, and grape juice.

What denomination is this church?
We are a Reformed Church of America. You can read more about it on the About Us page.

Who is the Pastor?

Our Pastor is Pastor William De Young. To learn more about him, please see the Our Pastor page.

What does this church believe?
We believe the Bible. Read more in our Statement of Beliefs.

Do you have services for children?

Yes; Sunday School is offered for children from 3-4 years old and from grades K-6 every Sunday morning during the service at 10:00 AM from September-June, and there is a Confirmation Class for 7th and 8th graders. There is also a nursery for children under 3 years old (not available during the summer).
Children are also welcomed in the Worship Service.

Is there a dress code?
We're not the church you attended in your youth where you only wore your "Sunday best"; if you prefer to dress up, please do, but if jeans suit you better, that's fine too. Please come as you are and wear what's most comfortable for you.

Does your church have WiFi?
We have two WiFi networks: hrcsecretary, and hrc_church_house. Both are open — no wireless key required. Many modern phones do not connect to "open" WiFi networks automatically, so you may have to select them manually. Using WiFi can conserve your cellular data usage.

How can I get in touch with someone at the church?

Please see the Contact Us page for telephone, email, and fax options.
